How to Renew Your Membership
If you are already a member of the SVDC (or were, and your membership has lapsed), there are a multiple ways you can easily renew.
By renewing your membership, you preserve your voting privileges in our club!
Option 1: Pay online from your invoice or Renewal Reminder Email.
- The easiest way to renew your membership is to click on the custom link in the invoice that was emailed to you. In the email, simply click on VIEW AND PAY THIS INVOICE ONLINE, to pay your membership dues online without having to login to our system. Similarly, you can click on the RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP button link in the reminder email(s) you received to pay your membership dues.
- If you would like to have your invoice with quick-pay link re-sent to you, please complete the Assistance Form.
- Although credit cards are the preferred method of payment, your invoice includes instructions for mailing your payment by check.
- Please Note: To select a different Membership level for your renewal (including the option to select the discounted auto-renewal options), you will need have a new invoice sent to you. To do so, please complete the Assistance Form.
- Option 2: Login and renew from your profile.
- You can login to our system at any time, which allows you to update your profile with contact information as well as renew your membership. If you've never logged in before and/or you don't recall your password, simply click on the LOGIN button below, select FORGOT PASSWORD and follow the instructions.
- Once you are logged in, you will be taken directly to your profile screen, where you can renew your membership online. If you are already logged into our system, instead of the LOGIN button, you will see your name listed below. Click on your name to view your member profile. Your member profile link (or LOGIN button) is also located in the upper right corner of this and our HOME page.
- Please Note: To select a different Membership level for your renewal (including the option to select the discounted auto-renewal options), you will need have a new invoice sent to you. To do so, please complete the Assistance Form below.
About Membership
We sincerely appreciate your continued interest and support of working together to bring about a peaceful, healthy, equitable and just society aligned with the principles of the Democratic party.
- Membership dues are applied annually, based on your initial confirmation date. You will receive automatic reminders via email to renew your membership as your anniversary date approaches.
- Check payments are not accepted for discounted Auto-renewal Membership options.
- Only members are entitled to vote on club issues, elections, and endorsements (see club bylaws for more information).
- As a sanctioned Democratic Club, we require that our members be registered Democratic voters. Other party affiliations must obtain a special waiver approved by the executive board prior to voting eligibility and membership award or renewal--this process can take up to 30 days. We do verify your registration with the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters periodically. You can learn more, register to vote, or update your registration at the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters website.
- Our club's primary form of communication is email. When you become a member, you agree to receive emails and other communications from SVDC. To prevent our emails from being filtered as junk or SPAM, we suggest you add us to your Whitelist.
